Writing Your Bill

 

Each delegate is responsible for bringing a piece of legislation to the ALA California Girls State Session. 

The bill you write can either add to, repeal, or amend a current California law or it can implement a brand new law. 

Your legislation should be on a topic that you are either interested in or passionate about. 

 

During the week at ALA CAGS, legislation will be chosen, read, debated, and voted on in the Senate and Assembly. 

At the end of the week, we will have our own set of unique ALA California Girls State laws created by you! 

All legislation must be submitted by June 11, 2025.
