Samsung Scholarship

 

If you are a direct descendent of a US veteran, you are eligible to apply for the Samsung Scholarship. ALA California Girls State participants who are eligible will receive an email with more information.

The application is ONLINE ONLY. It can be completed over several sittings. You MUST register and create an account with your email address. You do not need to select programs you are interested in.

Please note that you must provide proof of service for your relative in order for your scholarship application to be submitted. You will also need to download, print, get signed, and upload an academic progress form verified by your school official. This is sometimes a lengthy process, so be sure to start ASAP. If you wait until June, you may run out of time. Applications must be uploaded by the first day of ALA California Girls State and must be complete to be considered.

Acceptable forms for proof of service are: Form DD214 (Official discharge certificate), Official “Honorable Discharge” certificate, Form DD1300 (Official military death certificate), Official record of burial in a military cemetery issued by the National Cemetery Administration of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Current or former military ID card, Current or former LES (Leave and Earnings Statement), Official logbook entries from a military unit.​
